We arrived at 3:30pm today to have some wine and cheese. She sat us at the bar and gave us some menus. Within 2 minutes she apologized but asked us to leave because there was a private party. It was very embarrassing as we had to walk out of the bar. It would've been nice if they put a sign on the door saying "Closed For Private Party Until 5PM!". Also, they should have offered us something for the embarrassment. Oh well...... Amazing Grapes here we come!!

Great wine selection, but I'm giving them a zero for the unfriendly service. The girl with the long black hair was so aloof that we felt unwelcome. I will NEVER go back. T

My wife and I had a great night tonight at Uncorked. Great wine and the appetizers we had were great. The servers were all very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very nice. We have been before and will definitely visit again in the near future.

Coming here almost weekly since I discovered it. Great weekly flight tasting and awesome food. The chef knows how to really bring out the flavors with the wines. I would recommend to anyone who likes good wine and food.

My friend and I went here last night and the experience was fabulous! So many wine options and the spinach pizza is to die for. Friendly staff and the owner stopped by as well. Nice music too. You must go!

Was there for the 2nd time on Saturday with friends/family for a celebration. They are SO customer caring..and truly know their wines and a great fun. Tony is so interactive with the guest...you do not feel ignored. If you order a sampler and don't care for it, no problem, he finds out what you do like and pours a glass similar to your tastes. It was such a relaxing evening followed by dinner elsewhere. We had some great cheese/cracker platters and plenty of wine. Even beer for our non-wine connoisseurs! Great place and will certainly return!

This place has the friendliest staff, great appetizers (try the mini desserts) and wine. They used to have live classic rock music that we enjoyed very much. Hopefully they can have "Slick Richard" come back and perform as a special guest. We can all drink and dance the night away. I love this place!!!!!

Really love this place. The staff treats us like family, excellent variety of wine, and the food...OMG. The chef's name is Don and his food is unbelievable. Try the carnitas tacos or the spinach pizza...you will be in heaven! Bonus- the carnitas tacos are only a buck on tuesdays, and they're big!! Shout outs to Romy and Charles for being so friendly and awesome!!

Wine and atmosphere were great. The women who ran the show...not so much. Very, for lack of better words, stuck up. She not once cracked a smile and seemed like she was annoyed that we were there. The music that was playing had curse word after curse word. Will likely not be back.

This place is awesome!!! I am new to wine and everything i had here was amazing. Especially the food! Chefs Stacey's food is to die for! I simply cannot get enough of her pasta, pizza, and tacos! Thats just the beginning. I can't wait to try more of her delicious food!!

I LOVE this place! First of all the happy hour is the best. Monday-Saturday from 5-6:30 they have: 1/2 off appetizers (the crab cakes are amazing! So is the bakes brie with Blackberry sauce!) $4 glasses of wine $5 for 3 different tastes of wine They always have a great selection of wines. The bartender, Tony, is VERY knowledgeable about wine too. He will answer any question you have about wine. I always feel like I am on an episode of Cheers when I come in here. Everyone that works here is so nice and so are all the other customers!

Love this place. The wine selection is incredible (lots of hard to find stuff - and good mix of price points), food is fantastic (try the organic spinach pizza) and most of all the staff is just beyond amazing. I held a wonderful party there for my husbands birthday on Friday night. Wow- it was top notch service the entire planning phase (ask for Martin, nicest most amazing humble guy and knows his wine too. He helped me pick all the food and wine and plan all the details of the party). He was in constant communication with me and was so accommodating and friendly. He is really a diamond employee... Night of the party was also fantastic! Romy (sp?) the owner was the sweetest soul. She helped the entire night and was always there when I needed her or any help. The entire team there did such a great job keeping my guests happy. They were all so impressed - and many said it was one of the best parties they had been to in a long time. If you want to host a gathering of less than 25 - this is your place. Top notch service - vino of all types and it won't break the bank. We will be back again soon!!! Thank you to the amazing staff and a huge shout out to Martin for being such a wonderful employee and helping me!

Hidden wine treasure in RSM! Nice relaxing atmosphere, great for a low-key evening relaxing with friends over a glass of wine. Wine selection was great for a small place. Was here on a Saturday evening, pretty quiet early in the evening but started filling up as the night went on. Super friendly crew working here. Always checking in on us and refilling our wine glass without bothering us. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. Would have been a 5-star review if they had some live music. This place could be great, just needs a little something to liven it up.

Great place for a date night or just to have a little fun! Wonderful customer service, mixed with a little fun. Friday nights they have live music and throughout the week there are special tastings. Ken is amazing. There great people!! Always a joy

One of my favorite wine bars. It is smaller, and quiet, which means you get to spend more time talking to the staff and learning about the wines without having to yell over everyone else. Food is great and (I think) all homemade. Nothing tastes frozen or of low quality. If Ken is there, talk to him. He knows A LOT about wine and wine regions and can give you great advice on what to drink, where to travel and what to buy. He does not push expensive wines on you (unless that is what you want) so you know you are getting honest advice within your budget. GREAT PLACE!

Such a quaint little spot. The bartenders are mostly young guys who are friendly and helpful. The sommeliers they bring in are knowledgable. Looks like a boutique from the outside but inside it's a hidden gem of a wine bar. Prices are great (especially for half off Wednesday's and tasting Thursday's) they also have the best carnitas tacos In town and they're only a buck on Tuesday. I just love this spot. I am in there at least twice a week.

I visited UnCorked after a movie at the nearby cinemas. The layout was very unusual - I almost didn't go in because I couldn't tell that the wine/ food section was in operation. All I could see was the shop. Once seated, the waitress gave us minimal attention. The staff seemed very focused on the 2 regular customers in the nearby booth (and the only other patrons in the place). While the regulars had the attention of up to 2 of the staff at any given time, we only saw our server when she dropped off the wine and cheese plate. I gave UnCorked 3-stars because they had a good wine selection and because I hope that they iron out their service and layout issues with time. Otherwise, I agree with other reviewers - there are many other places to enjoy wine in southern California.

Love this place! I stopped by with my friend for a girls night and we will be going back! The appetizers were fresh and delicious, especially the Lobster Spread; i never knew spread could be so tasty! The staff was very friendly and welcoming with a cozy atmosphere. They made the experience great. They also sell wine by the bottles that were generously priced. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get out and have a nice, relaxing evening.

It says they open at 11:30, but we were told at 4:00 that they don't open until 5:00. I hope there is something impressive when we return. 5:00- Very nice and enjoyable experience. Great bruschetta and wine. Loved talking to Charles about music. Big poors and comfortable chairs. Can't wait to taste Italian wines on October 4.

Another nice evening at Uncorked! We really enjoy coming here as a local place to get away from the tasks of home. Stacey's cooking (read: TACOS!!!) is wonderful, and the entire staff is great about checking in on you. I loved the blind taste test to see if we could remember a wine we had earlier.

Awesome little place. The employees obviously love their jobs! Great service and great wine selections. They even have flights which is a great way to try new wines.

Difficult to find especially if you do not have a gps. Its a small wine shop/bar with daily specials. I came here because of their Champagne and Cupcake Tasting for $20 that i found on localwineevents.com . Seeing as how i can all the way from irvine to come to this tasting, it definitely was not worth it. The champagne and cupcakes were definitely tastings which i finished drinking and eating in prob. 15 mins. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a lot of cute wine accessories in the shop but nothing that i really would spend money to buy.

When my friend and I arrived we were told that there was a tasting and we were asked if we wanted to participate. We said sure but we needed to sit at the bar. There was no room but the owner made a place for us at the end which turned out fine. The wine tasting was surprisingly very good but we never received the Argentina stew that was supposed to go with the tasting. We had waited over an hour and had to ask the bartender and owner. The owner offered to take the wine tasting off our bill. We did eventually get the stew and decided to order a tomato salad and prosciutto pizza. The salad and stew where good but the pizza was not good at all. We complained that we did not taste any prosciutto but we did taste salami and the crust was over cooked. Up to that point everything was good until the person how cooked for the restaurant came out very upset with our complaint. The cook told us that the salami was a bonus that she added and she could not understand why we were unhappy. The owner said she would take the pizza off the bill. At that point I wish she would have just gone away but she did not. Next thing you know she is brining out complimentary food (pumpkin humus and some sort of pork slider). I politly left it there and did not comment since I do not eat pork. Again the cook was upset and started telling the customers at the bar how miserable I was and some other things that upset my friend. The owner just stood there as the cook continued to make comments. The owner then offered my friend and I a glass of wine on the house. When we got the bill it was $104.00 and we gave the bartender two credit cards and asked to split the food and that I would pay for the bottle of wine I got from the tasting. The bartender only charged me for the bottle of wine and my friend all of dinner. I asked the bar tender to please go back and split the dinner. We got the credit card receipts and they where both $72.00 each making the bill $144.00 plus $25.00 spent on the bottle of wine. I insisted on a full bill and was told that everything was added back in. The owner would not return our credit cards and I had to call the police. I could go one but I am sure you get the picture. There was much more going on but it was more funny than complaint material. Basically you had a cook who can not take criticism and owners that run an extremely chaotic wine bar and restaurant.

A nice little bar with good prices on their selection. Fun to come with friends for tasting. Tony is great to converse with when sitting at the bar. Sometime they have live music, my favorite nights! and they also have special events with select wineries. Love to try before I buy ; ) The small plates are okay, we usually start here before we have dinner in the plaza.

I stopped by Uncorked last night and had a great experience! I'm not normally in the RSM area, but I was doing business in the neighborhood late yesterday, so after wrapping up my day, I decided to stop by for a glass of wine. Tuesday is 1/2 off premium wine by the glass day, so I enjoyed a great Caymus Cabernet and a happy hour cheese plate. I chatted with Tony behind the bar and other patrons that arrived shortly after me. I had great time and certainly plan on stopping by again the next time I'm in RSM.

I really like this place. I dragged my (wine neophyte) hubby into the place while strolling around one day and I immediately felt at home. This little place is cozy and intimate and our server (owner?) was super friendly and took care of us. I had a glass of Napa Cab and the cheese plate and would have had more if my hubby would have joined me. There are interesting gifts to purchase as well and I had my eye on a unique wine box that I will purchase on my next visit. I hope this little place is around for a long time. There is a larger wine "establishment" not far away but if you are opting for a more intimate wine experience I recommend Uncorked Wine Bar.

I've lived in RSM for a while now and didnt know this was here til I got a deal off Groupon. Came here with my friend and what a nice surprise it was! DECOR: Nice ambiance. The only thing I would say is that the seating is VERY limited! I found a couple of chairs at the end of the bar and it was tight! And all the tables seems to be close together. SERVICE: The bartender (and owner, Im guessing) was very nice and very knowledgeable about wines. The only comment I would make is that he seemd to talked more to people he knew and neglected us a litte, but nothing that I would complain too much about. He was very nice overall. FOOD: Both my friend and I had the red tasting which was Wonderful!! We also ordered some food like the Spinach Pizza, Crab Cakes. The Spinach Pizza was sooooooooo delicious!! I will come back just to have that...well and wine of course!

Every time we go to uncorked it never disapoints. The customer service is unbelievable, the food is amazing (their pizza is delicious and big enough for two). The wine flights are so fun and the staff is so knowledgeable on the wines. The ambiance is romantic and relaxing. Definitely recommend this to all

Looking for a small intimate wine bar? Look no further than UnCorked of RSM. This unassuming establishment is tucked in an upscale strip mall surrounded by the likes of bigger restaraunts such as the El Torito Grill, Canyon's, & Wood Ranch BBQ. I've read a few other reviews stating UnCorked being hard to find and needing a GPS, but I don't see how that is possible. I suppose they could use slightly better signage outside, but it's not hard to find if you're actually looking. As you enter, you'll note that about the first third is devoted to wine boutique wares, and either wall is lined with bottles fo wine for purchase. The last 2/3rds is devoted to the small wine-bistro, bar, and kitchen. The bistro seats approx 30 people with 8 of those stools being devoted to the nice wooden bar, where the rest are 2 to 4 person tables. The color pallete is made up of earthy browns, reds, and golds with dark wooden tables and chairs and very easy and releaxing on the eyes. Overall, the place is very clean and you don't feel cluttered at all. Satellite radio plays a nice mix of upbeat and whimsical classic tunes and is not too loud. Two flat-panel monitors located in either corner allow you to catch the game, and if it's not busy you can ask them to change the channel to something that may suit you. The staff is very friendly and helpful and greet you with a small wine and beer menu and discuss selections of the day including freshly made appetizers. In addition to serving wine by the glass, they also serve 'flights' of wine at a competitive rate and have scheduled tasting nights a few nights a month along with other deals. (BTW: check out the Yelp deal). However the real deal is for happy hour (5-6:30pm). Many of the wines including some premium wines are discounted to $3 a glass, and many of the appetizers are discounted as well. Awesome deal! Menu boasts an interesting variety of snacks including bruschetta, olive platters, crab cakes, spinach pizza, baked brie, cheese & fruit platter, and more. I tried the bruschetta platter and had 6 delicious and "freshly" baked treats delivered to me. I had paired this with a nice Spanish red. Then when I switched to a crisp Italian Pinot Grigio, I opted for the crab cakes - 2 large fresh hand-made cakes. The only issue (and a minor one) was the inside was a little under-cooked despite the decent crusted sear on the outside. Desserts include locally made mini-cupcakes along with some chocolate goodies. In addition to their wine selection, they have many crafted beers as well for those that opt not to have wine, but want to have something other than Bud or Miller. Just enough variety to get something you'll enjoy and not get overwhelmed by too many choices. For sure a 'must' for locals...the intimate and relaxed atmosphere along with friendly staff make this place worthwhile to seek out.

Not a regular? Forget about it. Not so much if you're looking for a new stomping ground. Let's just cut to the chase first: customer service needs improvement. If you're part of the younger crowd ( less than 30ish) or a newbie, expect to be disappointed. We were trying to order more wine as we were getting our food as we hadn't had anyone stop by for ten minutes. One of the owners first pretended to listen and started to walk away literally while we were still ordering, blurting out to the bartender, "Take care of whatever they're drinking." Could've said -- "so and so will help you out" "Can you hold on for a second?" or literally listen to our two word order. Very rude. There were a lot of regulars, and they had no problem getting help or a friendly word. But they definitely make their business off of their regular group as the bar filled up quickly with first name basis individuals. While I don't need to be pet on the head and told I'm pretty, it would've been nice if somebody could've stopped by and said and at least "hi" etc. Food: For a wine bar it's definitely lacking in terms of diversity and presentation. But the plus side is that the price does reflect this. Wine: Better than restaurants but not as diverse as other wine bars. I see the appeal, and I really wanted to find a closer wine bar to frequent. I just want that place to actually treat me like my business is valuable. Or at least not diminished.

This used to be better. Probably been there a dozen times. The food is okay. I think they lost a really good employee and he really made the experience great.

I have been here a few times whenever I hang out with a friend who lives in RSM - cute small wine bar that has friendly staff. It's a nice quiet place to sit and just hang out - chit chat and catch up. I snatched up a groupon deal when they had one of those which was great! I have seen them post more groupon deals since and if you haven't tried the place out yet, it's a good affordable way to do so. You can get flights of wine or just by the glass. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and depending on the night, they can be generous with their pours ;) They also have live music on some nights, but I'm not exactly sure which specifically. They also have small bites to pair with your wine as well. Cute place worth visiting if you are looking for something chill to do.

We had an amazon local deal for this place and we thought it was so great! Very personable service and enjoyable ambiance. The bartender was able to suggest various wines and they were all tasty. We also had the cheese platter, which was large and had an impressive assortment of cheeses, almonds and crackers. We will definitely be going back!

Stumbled upon this gem with my boyfriend on a Friday night. We were optimistic when looking for a somewhat quieter place to enjoy watching a baseball game and we found just that! The bartender was knowledgable and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening even though our team lost our experience here made our night!! We'll definitely be back and we highly recommend it for a quiet evening out!

got a great 'daily deal' to try out uncorked . This type of marketing obviously worked well for them! Even though it isnt super close to home and wee bit hard to find in the oddly designed center.. once we landed we were thrilled at the service, the selection and recommendations of unique wines and the food. We also lucked into Tuesday night discounts which were cordially offered to us separate from our coupon for best value. I was a pleasantly surprised the food was as GOOD as it was. DELISH! Cheeses were a cut above.. simply excellent. and prepared food was as good as fine dining establishment. Bartender/ Sommelier knew his stuff and was friendly and fun. Caymus Conundrum is my new favorite white blend.. floral, rich and aromatic.. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thanks. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Happy Hour! Three wines for five bucks. Two dollar beers. Cheap, but delicious appetizers. Those prices 5:00-6:30pm, Tues-Sat would make you think of some crappy joint, but this place is a little delight. So far, every wine, beer and appetizer I've tried has been a hit. The staff is helpful and friendly. After my first visit, my thought was, "I caught them on a good day." But a few months later, it holds up to my memory, expectation and hope. I love a bargain and Happy Hour at Uncorked matches that with impressive flavors. The appearance of the food on each plate is obviously a high priority in the kitchen. Extra kudos for that.

We were quickly greeted with a smile and served a taster glass of their house Pinot Grigio as we began to peruse the menu. The server instantly tried to sell us on the '2 for $25' wine flight special (which ended up being only a $3 savings) so we each chose out flights and ordered some food. I had told her I chose the flight I did because I do not like Reisling, not a fan of sweet wine. The server brought us our first glasses, mine being the Reisling that I had just told her I did not care for. When I told her she simply said she had gotten confused and brought out right one. She then told my friend she was gonna go ahead and bring out all of her wines at once because they were closing soon. Within about 1 minute we now had 9 glasses of wine on the table and we're told they close in 15 minutes! Are you kidding me!? Then they brought out our food and within minutes we were offered 'to go' containers and the check was dropped on the table. As we start packing up and paying the bill a couple walks in and sits down at the bar. It was clear they were friends with the owner as the owner greeted them warmly and welcoming and began pulling out bottle after bottle of wine for them to try. Clearly this is a place that is more interested in hosting non-paying friends rather than paying customers. I will not be returning to this establishment, though it probably won't be here long anyway with the current business model and customer service.

I had to write an update after Tony and Don saved my fiance's birthday! We had gone to WineWorks after hearing so much about it and had such an awful experience (review here: yelp.com/biz/wineworks-f… ) that we asked for the check and came straight to UnCorked where we knew we would be treated well. We sat at the bar and told Tony what had happened at WineWorks and he basically apologized for them, something Wineworks had no concept of, and said let's turn this night around. And that is exactly what they did. He was able to make REAL wine recommendations and knows so much about his wine because he's actually studying to become a sommelier. He is passionate about it and knows his stuff. He created a tasting for me with their premium wines, all of which were SO good and my fiance just ordered a glass, again a recommendation by Tony, and it was delicious. Imagine that, wine that actually tasted good served in properly cleaned glasses! haha Don, their chef was also there and he and Tony brought out little cupcakes for Eric's birthday and gave him a candle and we sang happy birthday. It was perfect and the cupcakes were amazing. The last time we were there Don actually gave us a great recommendation on sauvignon blanc that we ended up buying 2 bottles of. I really like that he doesn't stay behind the scenes and that he interacts with the guests as well. There is just a personal touch you find at UnCorked that you definitely won't find at WineWorks (or at a lot of wine bars around for that matter). Here, it's about making the guests happy and feel appreciated. That is what true customer service is about. Thank you Tony & Don!!

I have to say I love this place! It's cute, classy, and the service is amazing. We always get seated right away with friendly smiles. I try to get to this place at least once a week for appetizers and wine. The wine tasting is very good and large portions of tastings as well. The selection is awesome. You can purchase anything you like as well. Cases too. We ordered a raspberry baked brie which was outstanding last time I was there. The pizza is yummy as well. Very friendly and professional staff. Don was great. Loves to chat with his guests when they come in and we love TONY! He's the best. We always have a wonderful time here plus it's right across the street from where we live. One more thing before I forget. We also had a Groupon with us and they always comandate us and never give us a issue either. I can't say enough about this fabulous place. p.s. I love the gift shop too. :-)

UnCorked is my go-to for wine if I'm anywhere near RSM--especially with Stacey in the kitchen! Ever met her? Yeah, she's great. Ever had her carnitas? If you say no, stop reading and go directly to UnCorked :)

  • Ryan G.

I had trouble finding this place, since the shopping centers out in RSM are so sprawling. We came in with a $30 for $15 we had purchased awhile back. I was wondering how strict they are on these deals but they were really cool about it. For $35, we did a special Cakebread/Chateau Montelena (of Bottle Shock fame) wine flight with 5 wines. My wife and I split the tastings and we had some decent sized pours in our glasses even with us sharing. We were there during happy hour and had the bruschetta at the happy hour price. It was very good. This isn't really a good place to go to have dinner, since all you would be ordering are appetizers. You could taste here then head over to Wood Ranch for a delicious dinner. As purely a place to have wine and some light appetizers, this place isn't half bad.

Blah. Parts of the venue were nice. But a lot were left incomplete. There was a doorway to the back, with no door. And we could see boxes and storage stacked up. The bartender was nice. But wanted to spend all his time with his 2 regulars at the bar. It would have been nice to get a little more attention and get to know the place better. We just stopped in for a quick glass on the way to a friends for dinner. They mentioned they had a happy hour, so we ordered off that menu. The even had there premium wines on happy hour. There was no mention of pour size, but when the glasses came, they were small. Like ridiculously small. If it was a happy hour thing, I wish we would have been told. I would have ordered off the regular menu. The wines were not that good. And since we felt like we were on a stranded island, we left without finishing our wine (which NEVER happens).

A rainy day and some wine sounds like a great mix. That is what we dealt with yesterday. Some weird weather and some awesome wine pairings. My girlfriend and I went in with the livingsocial coupon and were pleasantly surprised by the small and intimate setting for Uncorked. There is a wine bar and some tables but this place can definitely get a little tight with the amount of wine & accessories they have in the front of the store and the lounge/restaurant they have in the back. The server did a fantastic job with the overall service. He described all the wines that we ordered and always had some witty remarks to lighten up the mood after a long work day for my girlfriend and I. Now to the wines. I ordered the international flight (18 bucks for 3 wines). It came with a malbec, a shiraz and an Argentinian wine. Unfortunately I cant recall the specifics of the wines but I can say that they were all great. My girlfriend order the uncorked flight (16 bucks for 4 wines, that you can pick and choose) and loved it as well. We also ordered some appetizers. The uncorked cheese plate which included 3 types of cheeses. It was good but not great. They gave us a huge slice of blue cheese which we ate a little bit of but got tired of it after a bite. After looking at the menu on-line I realized that they changed up the cheese order. We never received any Gouda which saddens me because that is my favorite cheese. We also ordered the crab cakes (4 small cakes). They were decent but I have had better. Probably would not order them again. Overall it was a great experience and I am looking forward to coming here again to share an another moment in this great bar with others that love wine and are willing to try the many different flavors of many different wine regions of the world. Cheers!

I went here one night when they were offering a French wine tasting and ended up sitting at the bar chatting with Tony the sommelier. I learned more about French wines that night than I think I ever would have even reading a book on the subject! He and Don, the other gentleman that works there, are very friendly and the wines are excellent and so is the food. All in all a very cozy intimate fun evening. Definitely check it out.

Moved to RSM 3 weeks ago and have made 2 visits to Uncorked. Both times I had a very pleasant experience. This is such a neat little place for my wife and i to head after work for happy hour and some appetizers. The service is great and the wine prices are very easy on the wallet. This will definitely be a staple place for us to visit.

Has become one of our favorite wine bars. We love Tony and love how passionate Don is about the food he makes!

As much as I travel and adore trying new places on my journeys, it's funny that while I'm home I have my local favorites and stick pretty close to them. It's kind of weird to live in a small community for going on six years and having only tried a mere third of it's offerings... But being the passionate Yelper I strive to be, I know that it's time to buck what's familiar, try something new and hopefully get some new material. We enjoy a nice glass of wine, it gets good reviews and it's within walking distance so we made Uncorked our pick for our weekly "try something new" experiment. First of all, we were fairly impressed with the ambiance and decor. There were quite a few people in the bar area, it was comfortable and a little dark. Nice. We sat up at the bar and had a nice relaxing hour or so chatting up the owner and some random locals. I forgot for a while that we were in RSM. We shared a cheese plate which went down nice with the International Reds flight. I ended up buying two out of the three. The combined price for a bottle each of an Argentinian Malbec and a French Pinot was only $32. A steal, really. And they take 10% off your bottle price if it's something you tasted in the bar. We liked Uncorked well enough to bring a couple of our Irvine friends on the following Sunday afternoon. For 4pm, it was dead. Not just quiet, but dead-dead. We were the only people there and as nice as that can be on occasion, it seemed like a completely different place with a totally different vibe. We each had a couple of glasses. While the whites were good, I was a little disappointed to taste that some of the reds were a tad on the stale side. I thought that maybe my palate was off but hubby had the same impression as well. This was certainly not the case on our first trip to Uncorked. Overall though, it's nice to find a local establishment with good people, good prices and overall, a decent product. The bar also has some interesting events coming up - tastings and apparently they occasionally do food pairings as well. Definitely something to look out for.

I love this place. Cozy and easy going. Their rose flight is so good and good value. I love their cheese plate and their crab cake is out of this world. Ought to give them a try if you are in the neighborhood.

This is a review of the online web store of Uncorked, webwine.com . I buy most of my wine online. I cannot recommend buying from this merchant. They advertised a very low price on a difficult to obtain wine last week and I placed an online order on Friday. I followed up with a phone call and could only leave a message. The owner sent me an email stating the wine would be available for pickup at the store the following week. The following Monday the owner sent me an email stating that he could not get the wine and he had cancelled my order. I could have ordered the wine on Friday from another retailer (and should have) as they had it in stock (for a higher price). The wine is now sold out, This is the first time in 20 years of buying wine online this has happened to me. Had the owner been honest he could have told me he was not sure he could get the wine. Do not buy from this merchant online.

Let me start by saying I am not a wine expert. I'm actually a wine novice. That being said I told the bartender that I wanted something white, flavorful, but not too sweet and not too dry... and with that vague set of stipulations he made an excellent suggestion! I was impressed. We shared three appetizers: Baked Brie, Crab cakes, and Ceviche. The chef hung out at the bar and made suggestions about the food. It was really causal and friendly, almost as if we were just guests in his home kitchen - and the food tasted that way. I enjoyed it, but some may be put off by that? Decor wasn't my taste, a bit over decorated I think? But the service, wine, and food was just great. Will definitely return! I want to try the happy hour!

This place is the BEST! I wasn't very experienced with the wine bar scene so when I went into Uncorked with a groupon, I didn't know what to expect. First off, TONY the sommelier, made us feel right at home by introducing himself, asking us our likes and dislikes and recommending the best wine flight for us. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, they always recognize their customers and hook you up with experimental appetizers and tapas. Although the space is small, the ambiance is intimate, relaxing and chic. They close a little early for my liking (but what doesn't in RSM) but they will never rush you out as you finish up your drinks. They are reasonably priced and have a lovely list of wines, beers, cheeses, appetizers, tapas and desserts to choose from. And I absolutely adore the small boutique at the front, where you can buy wine charms, trendy glasses and other wine-lovers' trinkets to go along with your favorite bottle purchase. This place officially turned me into wino and brings me back almost every weekend!

Good atmosphere, good service, and a good happy hour. If you are looking for a big meal this isn't your place, but if you are looking for a snack and a couple glasses of wine in a lovely little wine shop, you will won't be disappointed.

I have been here several times over the past few years and today was the worst service we have ever had. The server Don was rude and did not care to keep us as loyal customers. We will never be back!

The thing that makes this wine bar different from the rest is the charming little wine shop that greets you upon entry replete with goodies like raw vine art, kitchen towels with wine sayings, wine keys and such. This appeals to two of my biggest vices; retail therapy and oenophilia. My girl friend found this place near my home so we were only too eager to get our wine on, I was also hoping for a local wine bar to call home. The decor mimics the dark, velvety shades of wine with soft lighting, a beautifully coordinated bar, tables and chairs. We hopped onto one of the tall tables on a weekday afternoon, 4ish, for their happy hour. We were the sole customers, but a few minutes later, two more pairs of women walked in...apparently also looking to cure those mid-week blues with that perfect glass of vino. I'm a Cabernet gal, but I wanted to try something different so I asked our server what non-Cabernet red she would suggest. She gave me a look akin to a Miss Teen USA finalist being asked by a judge why she thinks 1/5 of Americans can't locate the US on a world map. After the look and a pause, she asked the owner what sort of Cabernet he'd recommend. Hmmpph. I politely corrected her and the owner suggested a good Pinot Noir which was also part of the $3 wines by the glass list from the happy hour menu. It was on the lighter side of Pinot Noirs but still very good and highly drinkable. We shared the Provencal Spinach Pizza and the Baked Brie Plate. The goat cheese and mozzarella from the pizza is wonderful with wine, and of course, the brie is a natural partner with wine - the thin, flaky crust allowed for a better tasting of the mellow brie. We topped the whole thing off with the cupcake sampler. I've only had cupcakes with wine once at a Santa Barbara winery and I thought then it was a genius idea and I still do! Not only was the mini trio of cupcakes almost too cute to eat, they were perfectly moist, flavorful, but not overly sweet. I kind of wished I'd ordered my own. Overall, good solid place for good wine. My only small complaint is the people working there should be more wine knowledgeable. I don't mean any offense from the previous rib at our server, who was very nice, I only think it necessary that anyone working at a wine bar should definitely know the question to "What wine would you recommend?"

Disclaimer: this place is a PAIN to get to. Make sure you have GPS, a backup GPS, printed directions from both Google and Map Quest, and an all-knowing-Gnome in tow before you head out to this joint. (Sigh). I went here for a Cupcake & Champagne tasting they advertised on localwineevents.com and had a good time but I was a little disappointed. Now, I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting but I was expecting more. The champagnes for the even included Cinzano Brachetto D'Aqui, Tobin James Dream Weaver and J Vineyards Cuvee 20 and the cupcakes were Double Chocolate, Lemon Raspberry and Vanilla Cheesecake. The Cinzano was my favorite champagne and, of course, the chocolate was my favorite mini cupcake; when I say mini I mean mini. I'm talking borderline tic-tac sized cupcakes people. For $20 total it wasn't bad but next time I'll head to Trader Joe's and get 3 bottles of champagne and a box of huge cupcakes... all for under $20; this will save the headache and gas money all associated with getting to this place. I was going to give them 2-stars but they have a cool ice machine in the bar area and they have mouthwash in the bathroom so they get 3-stars. PS- Proceed with caution if you use the mouthwash before/while drinking wine/champagne as it will obviously screw the flavors.

A few years ago, the concept of "wine bar in Orange County" might not have rung a bell. But with the drop of a hat, these quaint little retail stores are spreading like flies to many of the Italian-architectural themed strip malls, and even out yonder to Rancho Santa Margarita! But before you immediately dismiss the Uncorked Wine Boutique given its no-man's-land location, let me share with you that it is indeed the retail location for Webwine.com ! Yes folks, Webwine.com is a great place to find some nicely priced wines (some hard to find), and otherwise MIA from your local BevMo. I recently found some wines from Sandoval Vineyards (Napa) that I had been hunting around for quite some time! Low and behold, Webwine.com was able to order for me and ship directly to Uncorked Wine Boutique. I saved about $10 on UPS Ground, and picked those puppies up directly from the store! Turnaround was just a couple of days. The little wine bar is cute and cozy, and looks like it belongs in Solvang! It is, however, not a "scene", but more of a comfy place to buy and sample some of the product. They offer live music on OC's happening nights (Thurs-Sat), and have, what appears to be, some kick ass tasting events. I wish I lived closer to RSM! Overall, check out Webwine.com for all your MIA varietals. Or if you're out yonder by the 241 Toll Road, drop in to Uncorked Wine Boutique for a tasting! Either way, they might get you hooked. I know I am!

Service was very good, wine selection was adequately varied, location a bit difficult. I'd go again if it was in the "middle", not in a hurry to go back. This is not meant as ANY negative, just not a "rush back".

Love, love, LOVE this place. When my fiance and I moved to Rancho, we happened upon this little gem tucked away in the corner of the Kohl's plaza. If you weren't looking for it, you'd probably never find it. Please go and look for it! It is a classy and intimate little spot that offers so much more than just a glass of wine. The front half of Uncorked is dedicated to the wine shop ( the selection and the prices are really good) and there are just a few tables and half a dozen chairs at the bar. It's usually not all that crowded, but don't let that fool you-just because its not that busy doesn't mean it's not a great place. We typically go for the happy hour specials from 4-7, where you can get 3 oz glasses of wine for only $3, $2 beers, $3 craft beers and selected appetizers for $5. The wines change every few weeks, so there is always something new to try. There is also a new wine flight each week and a selection of ultra premium wines to taste. The owner and bartender are both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and will always make recommendations based upon your tastes, if you aren't sure what to get. I myself am not a beer drinker, but my fiance and brother raved about the selection of unique brews and the wonderful prices, so ladies, if your man isn't a wine connoisseur, you have nothing to worry about bringing him here. The food is fantastic, as well! Try the spinach pizza, the baked brie and crab cakes-you wont be disappointed. I'd also recommend getting the cheese plate. It is a BIG portion of cheese, so make sure you have a friend or two to share it with. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for that perfect spot to relax and have a great glass of wine and some delicious food. Please come and check this place out. It is absolutely wonderful!

We visited the Uncorked Wine Bar on a Saturday night with the objective of enjoying some good wine and light food. We were seated promptly and approached immediately by our waiter Tony. My friend had some questions about the wine offerings which Tony answered and offered to give her a taste of a Merlot he recommended which she wound up ordering. The "by the glass" pricing was reasonable and the pours were generous. We ordered a raspberry baked brie appetizer which was outstanding and then ordered the organic spinach pizza which was also very good. One of the managers, Don, came over to the table and chatted with us explaining that when we come back he will make us his Don's special pizza with additional ingredients. He also let me taste his special smoked salmon appetizer which was a ten on the ten point scale. We had a wonderful time, and the personalized touch and service vaulted Uncorked from a four to a five star rating. For those who enjoy fine wine and small plate dining, this place in the heart of Rancho Santa Margarita is a gem.

Nice little wine bar hidden in a strip mall in RSM. It was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon so that was nice. I had a groupon to use but even with that the bill was a bit on the high side. We each did the UnCorked Flight which let's you pick two whites and two reds. For the whites we got the same, but on the reds we each tried a different one to share between the two of us. We also got the cheese plate. I would be inclined to come back for happy hour and purchase wine by the glass and then head over to one of the many restaurants and grab a bite to eat afterward.

I visited on a Friday night. The place was very busy, since one of the staff didn't show up. I can take slow service in that case if the people are hustling, but I draw the line at dirty plates left on the bar for over 30 minutes. Yuk! They did pour a decent pour. Decent prices for their standard wines ($6-$8), with premiums going for $20. The place is pretty small, so if you are looking for a "scene", go someplace else. Bottom line: will go back in a pinch.

Tried the Uncorked Wine Bar for the first time the other day and we really enjoyed the experience. There are just a few tables so we go there early. Tony served us and he was great, making some good recommendations for the various small plates. The food was excellent, the Salmon Mousse, Pizza, Crab Cakes and Baked Brie. We will go back, but if you want to go, get there early before the tables are gone!

Not sure what all the hype is. Awkward service, certain wine selections and apps not available! Ice machine didn't work and our pizza was frozen when served!! The server was nice, but rushed us and didn't give us much info when we inquired about wine selections....just "this one is better." The check was incorrect and a hassle to fix. Just an overall bad experience. Not the worst place to go, but would rec Amazing Grapes over them anytime!!

A breath of fresh air in an era of wine bars that lack style and service. This place is awesome! We had been in a few times for wine and then I found out that they do pairing dinners. The menu changes each weekend based on all of the fresh (and I mean super fresh) ingredients that the chef goes out and purchases himself. Four a meal with 2 courses and 4 wines paired it costs between $35-45 which is a total steal! The first time we were there is was a cornish game hen with rosemary. The second time was an amazing lamb stew and a pork loin. The chef is positively brilliant and creates something new every weekend and then takes a lot of care in pairing wines to go with the food. On Friday nights they have Slick Richard who sings and plays guitar and he is really, really good. He does all kinds of different music and plays killer guitar and has a great voice. I hear that Saturday nights are more of a jazz night and a bit more mellow. Just as a caveat. The kitchen is very small and there is only one chef and he prepares virtually every dish from scratch to order. This is not a place to come when you are in a huge rush. This is a relaxed dining experience. The food is out of this world spectacular and you should go in and try it out.

I had high hopes, but very disappointed. My boyfriend and I frequent another local RSM wine bar and love it. We had been wanting to try Uncorked and were motivated by a groupon. Either the other RSM wine bar has set the bar high or we hit this place on a bad night, but we won't be back. Waiting for a seat after making a reservation, it's ok, we had time to look around. From the minute we sat down it went down hill. The two people running the place were friendly, very busy. It looked as though the gentleman was stressed to the max, maybe their help didn't show up, not quite sure. He was zipping around, taking orders, delivering food, pouring wine(at the bar and not the table, I am used to seeing the wine poured at my table from the bottle, not behind the bar). He ran around the place stressed doing " it all".. It fed stress into the atmosphere. The food was ok, but very over-priced. We ordered the Brie and had to ask for crackers. We were brought crackers and baguette, nice touch, but the baguette was as hard as a rock, literally. The pours were very small and again, I want to see the bottle when you pour it (spoiled by other wine bars maybe). Atmosphere was not relaxing at all. The sad thing is I really wanted to like this place, it would be great to have two favorite wine bars close to home. I want to see personal businesses thrive. Going to this place made us appreciate our favorite wine bar even more! As a past business owner my suggestion might be, hire help, don't try and do everything yourself, pour the wine at the table, work on your menu and pricing. I wish you great success, truly.

This is definitely a quaint place and we would never have guessed it would be situated right next to Cold Stone! We decided to try this place based on the Yelp Deal of $10 for $20 Certificate. I had an International wine flight and my hubby had a beer of some sort. Those were fine, but the food we ordered was somewhat mediocre. The cheese plate was really small and felt like something you would pay at the grocery store with Ritz crackers of some type. It was not the type of cheese plate you expect to get with wine! The bruschetta tasted really cardboard like for some reason and was not very satisfying. Otherwise the service was great! We just weren't very impressed with the small plates they offered.

My wife and I visited this wine bar on 11/26/11 due to a Living Social deal we had previously purchased. We were both very impressed with the service and knowledge of the two employees on duty that night - Don and Tony. We shared a red/white wine flight and a cheese plate. Try the Rosso Cab - we each had an extra glass after sampling it as part of our wine flight. The cheese plate was very good and included an ample amount of cheese, fruit and some awesome Spanish (?) almonds. If you go, ask them to prepare the almonds with garlic, olive oil, pepper and whatever else they threw in the recipe - you'll love em! They also have a retail area where they sell various gifts, dipping sauces, etc., as well as bottled wine. Good prices on all their wine, etc. We will make the 30 minute drive to go back to this place to hang out. If you have a chance, check this place out.

The wine and service are excellent. Cozy atmosphere. The owner will take good care of you. Adorable boutique alongside the wine bar..I've purchase many wine related gifts here. Good selection of appetizers while you enjoy a glass of wine. I feel lucky to live so close by.

Went here with my wife on a Friday night and what a special treat. It was great to sit down and enjoy a drink with some really good appetizers. Plus their happy hour prices are completely reasonable. Tip-The cheese plate and pizza is huge so think twice before ordering several apps. I suggest just ordering one and then seeing if you are still hungry afterwards. Overall, great place to try some really great wine and unwind after a long week. Highly recommended.

I stopped in at Uncorked Wine for a glass of wine and some appetizers with my mom ,sister and neighbor over the Easter holiday. I live in San Francisco so wine bars are quite plentiful in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed the service and thought the happy hour was fabulous. The chef came out and talked about the food he had prepared and sent out a few additional dishes at no charge that we just needed to try. Our server even threw in a few extra glasses of wine as he would not let my glass sit empty! I thought we would stop in for a glass of wine- and well... 3 hours later we finally headed home! I am glad to see that the RSM & MV area finally has some new neat spots to visit when I am visiting! Having grown up in the area- I was well accustomed to the chain restaurants! Highly recommend checking out! I know I will be back!
